Mothers' Union working overseas
Mothers’ Union has spread around the world in its 130 year history. There are members in nearly 80 countries, united in their passion to communicate their Christian faith through family and relationships. The majority of the 3.6 million members are overseas, and work to address the needs of their own communities. They are supported by the central Mothers’ Union in London, who respond to applications for grants from the Overseas and Relief Fund, and offer training, resources and advice when requested.
Donations can be made to the Overseas and Relief Funds through the Central Mothers’ Union Office

In 2008, members in the Diocese of Coventry raised nearly £6,000 for the Overseas Fund and over £1,800 for the Relief Fund. Along with donations to the Britain and Ireland Development Fund, £13,600 was sent to the central Mothers’ Union during the year.
East Africa Famine Appeal
St. Nicholas' Church MU and congregation raised £233 for this appeal from a recent retiring collection and the Trustees made a donation instead of sending Christmas cards to each other. The total to date raised by Mothers' Union members and churches across the country has reached £34.000. The money raised has gone direct to Mothers' Union workers in Tanzania, Uganda and Kenya to help and support many people with food and aid in rural villages and poorer, worse hit communities.
