About
The Mothers' Union
Mission
Statement
A Christian organisation
which promotes the well-being of families worldwide. We achieve this by:
Developing prayer and spiritual growth in families
Studying and reflecting
on marriage and family life and its place in society
Resourcing our members
to take practical action to improve conditions for families, both nationally
and in the communities in which they live
Membership
The structure, leadership
and resources of the MU empower its members to support and enhance family
life in the name of a Christian organisation.
There are different
ways to be a member: Branch Membership, linked to a church with
regular monthly meetings, Diocesan Membership, for those unable
to attend meetings, but who wish to be kept up to date with MU news, and
be involved in other MU activities, including official roles, or Indoor
Membership for those who are housebound and no longer able to get
to meetings.
To become a member
of the MU you first must be committed to the Aim and Objects of the MU
and be baptised in the name of the Holy Trinity.
