Bishop of Warwick joins Mothers' Union

At the Advent Carol Service on 3rd December, we were delighted that Bishop John was enrolled into Mothers' Union. He expressed an interest in joining many months ago, but it took many emails to find a time when he could be publicly admitted.

Felicity presented him with not only the usual badge and membership card, but also a Mothers' Union tartan tie, particularly appropriate given his Scots heritage!

He wrote "Thank you so much for welcoming me into the Mothers' Union at the wonderful Advent Carol Service in Alcester. I have been wearing my badge with pride and intend to give the Scottish tie a good airing around Christmas time.

"It is so good to be in a vibrant and active Mothers' Union under your gifted and creative leadership. I will certainly support all the events that I can - and hopefully, once a new Bishop has arrived - my membership will become more active."
